The Absolute Best Stabilizer for DSLR On The Market!

  • Adjustable range of height: 38cm/15"-58.5cm/23" height can be adjusted depending on different cameras you use
  • Carbon fiber shaft. weight: 1.08kg(1kg less than aluminum stabilizer), balance weight: 200gx2pcs, 100gx2pcs, 50gx4pcs for light cameras like gopro
  • Quick release plate(5x10cm/2''x4'') is included to help easily and quickly install camera, including 1/4" and 3/8" male screws on the plate
  • Imorden's handle(inner diameter: 16mm) is specially researched and developed according to photographers' specific needs

The IMorden S-60c is a wonderful handheld stabilizer with excellent versatility. It has a specially designed handle, created with photographer’s needs in mind. Not only is it comfortable to hold, it is easy to operate – perfect for beginners. This stabilizer is made with a carbon fiber shaft, which is about 2.5 lbs. lighter than the aluminum version. We love that it feels lighter – it makes working with the S-60c a breeze. Please note, however – the weight capacity for this model is between two to six lbs. We would not recommend the S-60c if your set-up weighs more than that.

The S-60c also includes a quick release plate to aid in efficient and swift installation of the camera. On the plate, it includes ¼” and 3/8” male screws.

So, what’s the verdict?

The IMorden S-60c is a wonderful stabilizer if your equipment is lightweight. It does the job, but we found that the gimbal can’t be attuned up and down the shaft pole. That shouldn’t be an issue unless you’re aggressively moving the unit and could result in jarring the quick release plate. The size of the S-60c Is perfect for travelling around. If you’re a travel photographer, this might be the one for you. For our lens-friendly folks, you may want to rethink this model, however, due to the fact the heavier lenses will cause this to become unstable from the weight capacity.

The Second Best DSLR Camera Stabilizer On The Market

  • Ergonomic design, angle and position adjustments enabled

  • Suitable for 1/4 "screw-holes digital SLR cameras and camcorders

The second item on our top five is the Neewer Filmmaker system – an amazing handheld camera stand which provides all of the balance, steadiness and luxury you desire while working those shots. We really like this model because of its durability. Not only is it lightweight, it is also recommended for long, continuous work. Let’s be honest – who doesn’t want a stabilizer that can handle long days? It also features a modular setup – you can be left or right handed, short or tall, and it can still be adjusted to fit your needs. How cool is that? It is multi-purpose, so whatever field of work you choose to shoot, this is a wonderful candidate.

The Neewer has a shoulder mount feature that makes it possible to achieve amazing results without the jerk motions and other problems that might surface. One of the things we love about the shoulder mount is it eradicates fatigue from holding up your camera and attempting to keep the balance. More energy means better videos or shots.

So, what’s the verdict?

Glad you asked. The Neewer is a wonderful stabilizer for the price. It won’t break your bank, and it will allow you to get stable shoots easily. While it is easy to use, it took a little bit of time trying to set it up if you’re following the instructions. We found that the picture diagrams were easier to follow. The shoulder pad isn’t very comfortable, but it can be used without hassle. We suggest adding washers to the end of the unit if you find your equipment too heavy to keep it stable.

The Third Best Camera Stabilizer for DSLR Available

DSLR Handheld Stabilizer, PULUZ 24" 60cm Professional Carbon Fibre Video Stabilizing Support for Canon Nikon Sony Panasonic & other Digital SLR Cameras, Max Load:3kg/ 6.6lb
  • Improved Version, more practical, but with the same low price
  • Allow high and low angle shooting; Made of carbon fiber, lighter and solider
  • Three-axis anti-shake design with high precision bearings and low friction joints
  • Length: 38.5~61cm / 15.2~24in Load: 0.5~3kg / 1.1~6.6lb
  • Equip with a travel bag, easy to carry

In third place comes the Yelangu S60T Stabilizer. Made with carbon fiber, we have yet another wonderful lightweight device that packs a punch. We love the diversity with this one – it is designed to shift from a handheld model to the vest with shock absorption arms. That way, if you’re attempting to shoot from different angles, you can use just the one device. The special two-connection arms, along with the shock absorption arm allows room for creativity and creates more operation space. It’s also very easy to operate.

This has an adjustable length, much like the other models we reviewed. However, this one is a little different because it is more suited towards camera setups that are 5.5 lbs. or less. The heavier lenses may cause the S60T to become a bit more unstable. We feel that the Yelangu S60T would make a great addition to your team, especially if you’re a beginner videographer.

So, what’s the verdict?

From what we have seen, the Yelangu would be more suited towards videographers who lean towards using lighter camera setups than one who packs on heavier lenses for their work. The quick release plate allows for changing up your gear, but we found that the lock mechanism seemed to be a bit weak. If you are diligent, you could buy an adapter and attach it to the plate base, though it is fine on its own. We would recommend this for a beginner videographer who is starting out or someone who does not have a heavy lens collection.

We would recommend this stabilizer to someone who is willing to spend a bit more to ensure that their equipment can do everything and more to achieve the perfect results. If you’re starting as a beginner or aren’t really sure why you would need to spend more than a few hundred dollars on a higher end item, we would recommend looking at the first few options on this list.

Let’s wrap it up – Here’s our buyer’s guide.

Let’s break down what the stabilizer actually does for your work, and how to choose the right one for your needs.

A camera stabilizer is a device designed specifically to keep your camera from moving. It prevents that hated “camera shake” that makes you dizzy. There are a few different models of stabilizers depending on your camera and your work’s need.

Things to Check For

Do you own a DSLR or video camera? You may want to go for the handheld device, which features a grip that holds the camera in front of the photographer while taking the shots. It is meant for multiple types of devices and different lenses. All of the items we listed on our top four are in this category as DSLR cameras are more popular amongst photographers and videographers. In some cases, the handheld models can be connected to a body mount as well.

If you have a smaller camera or a go-pro, we feel that a plain body-mounted option would better suit you. They have shock-absorbers built in to reduce that shaky feel. If your work requires you to shoot motion picture shots, this might be a viable option for you.

Conclusion

Picking the right equipment for your camera shouldn’t be a hassle; however, it can be if you aren’t well-informed in this space. From affordable options to pricier devices, this list covers each end of the spectrum so you know exactly what you’re looking for in terms of price, type, features and more.

Your equipment should become an extension of yourself and the passion that flows from you. We want you to feel confident when it comes to choosing which stabilizer would be a great addition to your team. Please feel free to contact us if you think we missed a product that should be featured on our top selling list!
